Luca Sampietro start his experience in the yachting industry in 1980 working for Cala Galera Ship Chandler.
In 1982 he moves to Canados shipyard in Ostia as salesman for second hand yachts and do his first sales with his collegue Gian Carlo Vacchelli.
In 1990, with Canados ownership and Vacchelli bought La Bussola shipyard in Fiumicino and start his experience as Shipyard Director and owner.
From 1990 to 2019 many were the refitted boats under his management, form W. Fife’s yacht CINTRA, refitted for the Editor Rusconi to PAOLUCCI a Picchiotti 90’ ex Italian Navy, used also as representative yacht for the President of Italian Republic.
On top of those two examples dozens and dozens yachts were refitted or mantained under his supervision: from hull bottom rebuild to the new teak decks, up to the complete interiors rebuild.
In 2005, beliving himself ready for a new experience, start the production of Mustang 38’ of which he built 5 units before the 2008 crysis lock the Market.
Today, with the shipyard sold, find again his friend Vacchelli and with VDS Yachts put his experience available to whom want a serious survey for a boat or also some good simple suggestion.
